Mandela Day 2020 - Video Message by Ambassador Sizani
“It is in your hands now” (Nelson Mandela, July 2007) - International Nelson Mandela Day was inspired by a call the former President of the Republic of South Africa, Mr Nelson Mandela made for the next generation to take on the burden of leadership in addressing the world’s social injustices.
Mandela Day is a celebration of Madiba’s life and legacy, it is a global movement to honor his life’s work and to change the world for the better.
On this day, Ambassador Sizani reflects on the significance of this important day.
Due to the prevailing Covid-19 pandemic, the Embassy this year has restrained from personally meeting the homeless, in order to prevent any potential risk, especially for them.
