Clsoing for Christmas and New Year 2025

Please note that during Christmas and New Year, the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa including its Consular Service remains closed from 24.12.2025 and re-opens on 05-01-2026. 

The last day for taking visa applications will be: 11-12-2025.

Applications will resume: 13-01-2026.

Appointments for Civic matters will resume:12-01-2026. 

 

Please note that the SOUTH AFRICAN CONSULATE-GENERAL MUNICH will be closed during the December 2025 Festive season holidays on the following dates:

24 Closure at 10:00 am
25 December 2025 to 02 January 2026.

PUBLIC HOLIDAYS AND CLOSURES FOR 2025

On the following 12 Public Holidays the Embassy of the Republic of South Africa will remain closed.

1. New Year’s Day Public Holiday 1 January
2. Human Right’s Day 21 March
3. Good Friday 18 April
4. Easter/ Family Day 21 April
5. Workers/ Labour Day 1 May
6. Ascension Day 29 May
7. Whit Monday 9 June
8. Youth day 16 June
9. German Reunification Day 3 October
10. Day of Reconciliation 16 December
11. Christmas Day 25 December
12. Boxing Day 26 December

All visa applications must be submitted in person to the South African Embassy in Berlin or the South African Consulate General in Munich, and without prior appointment. All visa applications submitted by courier/post will not be considered and will be sent back to the applicant.
