Mission at Work: Mission Welcomes Delegation of the Ministry of Arts & Culture in Berlin

From 30 October to 3 November 2019 senior representatives of the South African Ministry of Arts and Culture, the South African Heritage Resources Agency and Freedom Park, chaired by Mr Vusithemba Ndima, Deputy Director General, paid a benchmarking visit to selected Berlin memorials. Following a courtesy call to H. E. Mr P. S. Sizani, Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa in Germany, they visited the Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Jewish Museum of Berlin, the Sachsenhausen Memorial and Museum in Oranienburg, and met with their directors for in-depth discussions. Furthermore, they visited the Topography of Terror, the Memorial to the Victims of National Socialist “Euthanasia” Killings, the Memorial to the Murdered Sinti and Roma in Europe, and the Memorial to the Homosexuals Persecuted under the National Socialist Regime.
