SA Sculptor Maureen Quin Lauded in Sweden

South African sculptor Maureen Quin, who was invited to Europe by Ambassador Sizani, experienced an overwhelming welcome at the Dagmar Glemme Art Center in Hasslarp/Helsingborg in Sweden where the media compared her work to that of Henry Moore and Alberto Giacometti. exhibited her visually impressive sculptures series named "The Hunt". The 83-year old sculptor, who was awarded the 2016 Medal of Honour for Visual Art from the South African Academy of Science and Culture,will now head back to her Alexandria home after a very successful European tour, while her sculptures will remain in Germany for a few more months for further exhibitions.
