South African Home Affairs Minister Dr Schreiber Opens VFS Service Centre in Berlin

South Africa’s Minister of Home Affairs (DHA), Dr Leon Schreiber, has visited the South African Embassy in Berlin, Germany to inform staff about the procedures of the newly opened a VFS service centre in Berlin as part of the DHA's global expansion to improve services for South African citizens abroad. The new centre is expected to offer passport issuance and renewals under a streamlined and modernised process. Through online appointment booking and home delivery, the DHA aims to reduce processing times dramatically.

Payment of the application fee may not be made in cash.
