Mission at Work: South Africa's Presence at the 53rd BME Symposium Purchasing and Logistics 2018
The 53rd BME Symposium Purchasing and Logistics, Europe's largest congress for purchasing, supply chain management and logistics, hosted by the German Association for Materials Management, Purchasing and Logistics (BME e.V.), is taking place in Berlin, Germany, 14 to 16 November 2018.
The South African delegation that participated at BME included the Rail Road Association, the South African Electrotechnical Export Council, seven South African companies namely, Ditsogo Projects, Kapi’s Engineering Solutions CC, Metpress, Micron Technologies, Supreme Spring (division of Alfred Teves Brake Systems), Proactive Manufacturing Solutions and WEBA Technical Services.
These South African companies are making inroads and reaching out to procurement and supply chain players in Germany and Europe at large, said Minister Counsellor Economic, Mr Jacob Moatshe . This event attracted more than 2000 participants this year to engage on the aforesaid, discuss current and future procurement strategies under the motto “TRANSFORMATION NOW”.
