The second annual Mkhaya Migrants Awards
In pursuit of building a unified, inclusive and caring South African society, the Department of Home Affairs launched the inaugural Mkhaya Migrants Awards as part of the Africa Day 2015 programme. The Mkhaya Migrants Awards aim primarily to recognise outstanding migrants residing in the country who immensely make contribution to South Africa’s development in various fields. The 2016 Mkhaya Migrants Awards are earmarked for 11 December 2016 leading up to the 18th of December 2016, which marks the annual International Migrants’ Day on 18 December 2016
