More German visitors than ever before

155,371 German arrivals in South Africa from January to July 2016: That’s more German visitors than ever before. With the current increase of 21.1% South Africa is heading for a new visitor record from Germany. This boom can be attributed to excellent value for money. Currently there is a very advantegeous exchange rate of 1 EUR = 15.46 ZAR. Due to low-priced side costs in South Africa, tourists benefit two-fold and have much more money at hand to spend than in previous years. The tourism sector benefits from this. Moreover, tourists, who have visited South Africa, return home contented above-average: 83% are very happy with their holiday and return home as convinced ambassadors for the destination. 89% recommend South Africa as a tourist destination to their friends and family. 47% of all visitors travel to South Africa at least for a second time.
