Mr Andries Oosthuizen Chargé d'Affaires a.i. Meets Ms Annika Wörsdörfer, DGB

Mr Andries Oosthuizen, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of the South African Embassy in Berlin, met with Ms Annika Wörsdörfer, Political Consultant for Occupational Safety, Health Protection and Ergonomics, Social Policy Department, German Trade Union Confederation (DGB). A constructive exchange took place in preparation for her forthcoming posting to South Africa as Social Affairs Attaché at the German Embassy in Pretoria, focussing on strengthening labour cooperation and deepening understanding of South Africa’s social and economic landscape. The discussion also included the potential to deepen cooperation and mutual understanding in the field of the Just Energy Transition, with a focus on skills development, and ensuring that workers and communities are meaningfully supported as South Africa advances its transition agenda.
