Südafrika bei der UN

Südafrika absolviert derzeit eine dritte Amtszeit als gewähltes Mitglied des UN-Sicherheitsrats für den Zeitraum 2019-2020. Südafrikas Mitgliedschaft wird geleitet durch sein Bekenntnis zur Stärkung des multilateralen Systems und zu einem breiteren multilateralen Ansatz in Fragen des internationalen Friedens und der Sicherheit. Als Mitglied des Sicherheitsrats verpflichtet sich Südafrika gemeinsam mit den anderen Ratsmitgliedern einen bedeutsamen Beitrag in den Bereichen Frieden, Sicherheit und Entwicklung zu leisten. Südafrika wird darüber hinaus bemüht sein, enge Kooperationen zu schmieden und sich für mehr Absprachen zwischen den Mitgliedssaaten einzusetzen.
