L’isola disabitata with Lyrical Bariton Eddie Mofokeng from South Africa on 19 & 28 April 2019

Under the motto "The Distant Beloved", the first festival with young opera singers and an inspiring programme takes place at Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg at the Grienericksee at Easter.

Part of the programme will be Joseph Haydn's last opera "L’isola disabitata," Azione per musica by Pietro Metastasio, a production of Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, which focuses on the loss and happy reunion with one's beloved.

Eddie Mofokeng appeared as Betto in Puccini’s Gianni Schicchi at the iSING! International Young Artists Festival in Suzhou, China in summer 2017.
The South African singer was born in Kroonstad Maokeng, 200 km from Johannesburg. He studied at North West University in South Africa,
where he gained his first stage experience in the roles of Guglielmo in Così fan tutte and Aeneas in Dido and Aeneas.
After completing his Bachelor’s degree in 2016, he moved to Cologne to study at the Cologne University of Music and Dance. In 2016 he also joined the International Choral Academy Lübeck.
