On 17 February 2019, Minister Plenipotentiary Cassimjee took part in an International Cricket Council World Cup event in front of the Bundestag. Germany's Women National Team, representatives of the German Cricket Association, the ICC representative from the UK and Embassy Representatives of the Cricket playing Nations based in Berlin took part in the meeting aiming at sensitising German audiences for the upcoming Cricket World Cup to be held from 30 May to 14 July 2019 in England and Wales!
Though Germany is not qualified for this year's World Cup, Cricket is one of the fastest growing sports in Germany!
