Business Meets Africa – SA Mission Participates in Networking Conference at the Trade Chamber in Chemnitz

On 13 June 2017 the 4th "Business Meets Africa" meeting took place at IHK in Chemnitz. Almost 200 participants had registered, amongst which representatives from 13 African countries and many businesses from the region of Saxony. The SA Mission was represented by Minister Plenipotentiary Adv Cassimjee and a team of trade officers from Berlin and the Consulate General in Munich. The Key Note Speaker, German Federal Minister for Cooperation and Development, Dr Gerd Müller, presented his "Marshallplan with Africa" which, as he stated, should be benefitting for both African and the German economies. Many German companies stated their longstanding commitment to invest in different African countries and used the opportunity to meet partners, make new contacts or get relevant and reliable information about business opportunities.
