South Africa to Commemorate Africa Month in Conjunction with O.R. Tambo Centenary

South Africa will mark Africa Month #AfricaMonth in May under the theme: “The Year of OR Tambo: Building a Better Africa and a Better World”. The month, which this year coincides with the O.R. Tambo Centenary #Tambo100, is an opportunity to promote African unity, deeper regional integration and recommit Africa to a common destiny. A focal point of this year’s programme is to create discussion platforms for South Africans to engage in conversation within the broader theme of decolonisation. Activities over the month will culminate with Africa Day celebrations on 25 May 2017.
