ADVERTISEMENT OF MESSENGER DRIVER POST AT THE SOUTH AFRICAN CONSULATE GENERAL - MUNICH
The Consulate requires the services of a fully bilingual English and German speaking Messenger /Driver
Requirements:
• A minimum of 10 years schooling
• 2 years’ experience as chauffeur with a good knowledge of defensive
driving techniques
• Possession of a valid local driver’s license
• A valid residence and work permit in Germany
• Valid police clearance upon interviews
• Able to use GPS, read maps and follow directions
• Time management
• Ability to work overtime
Duties include:
• Collection and distribution of mail, messages, processing of outgoing mail and Courier items.
• Scrutinise packages and mail for suspicious objects or contents in line with organisational guidelines.
• Assist in opening and closing of freight bags.
• Photocopy, bind and assist in document presentation preparation.
• Ensures proper maintenance of the official vehicle/s.
• Perform relief chauffeur duties for the Consul-General.
• Transport authorised official passengers.
Remuneration: Salary range: €28 590 - €36 553per annum. The starting salary will be calculated according to qualifications and years of relevant experience.
