Operational arrangements for Immigration Services for the South African Embassy in Berlin

All visa applications must be submitted in person to the South African Embassy in Berlin. Visa applications submitted by courier/post will not be considered and sent back to the applicant.

Application for visas and permits are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. 

The South African Consulate General in Munich accepts visa applications without an appointment only on Tuesdays

The South African Consulate General in Munich has accepted visa applications without an appointment since Tuesday, 11 April 2023 (and every Tuesday thereafter) between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. The last opportunity to drop off is at 11:45 a.m.    

Visa applications sent by post or courier after this date will not be accepted (and returned to the applicant). Before your visit, please ensure that your applications and all related documents are complete, as the acceptance time per application is limited. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.

"IMPORTANT: Honorary Consuls do not have a mandate to deal with ANY consular-related matters e.g. processing of visa applications, certifying documents, etc. – ONLY the South African Embassy in Berlin and the Consulate General in Munich deal with consular-related matters."
