The Anne-Klein-Award 2017 goes to Nomarussia Bonase

Named after Anne Klein, the first feminist and openly lesbian woman senator in Berlin, the Anne-Klein-Award for Women is Heinrich Böll Foundation's yearly award honouring women' engagement for gender equality. The South African Mission in Berlin is happy to announce that this year's Anne-Klein-Award goes to Nomarussia Bonase for her struggle for Womens' Rights and Justice in South Africa! Nomarussia supports victims and survivors of the Apartheid Regime - especially women who were not heard by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (1996-1998), yet who have a right to Justice and Reparations. The Award Ceremony will take place on 3 March 2017.
