Konzert: HOT WATER: back in town, 10.08.2012 - 20:00 Uhr, MoBe

"Donovan Copley, singer-songwriter und Multi-Instrumentalist aus Kapstadt, hat ein Händchen für tanzbare, authentische Musik mit der ganzen Wucht südafrikanischer Rhythmen und Stile. Ebenso bringt sein Gespür die richtigen, musikalischen Persönlichkeiten aus den verschiedensten Kulturen zusammen: Die dynamischen Konzerte von Hot Water sind geprägt von der engen, oft spontanen Interaktion zwischen Band und Publikum. Die Band zaubert mit ungewöhnlichen Instrumenten aus verschiedenen Kulturen ihren ganz persönlichen Mix aus (süd-)afrikanischer Musik (wie Mbaqanga, Maskandi and Kwasa Kwasa) sowie Rock und Jive auf die Bühne. Und bei diesem "Indie-World Pop" bleibt kein Tanzbein ruhig.

Soeben wurde ihr drittes Album "South" in Südafrika veröffentlicht, auf dem Hot Water den Hörer mitnimmt auf einen Trip durch Seele und Geist Afrikas."
