Press Release: Appointment of South African Consul-General in Munich

Munich, 27 January 2011. The Consulate-General of the Republic of South Africa in Munich is very pleased to announce the appointment of Ms Mathula Magubane as Consul-General (CG), accredited to the States of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.

These two States share partnerships with three of South Africa’s most economically vibrant provinces:

• The Free State of Bavaria has partnerships with the South African provinces of Gauteng (capital: Johannesburg), and Western Cape (capital: Cape Town).  
• The State of Baden-Württemberg has a partnership with the South African province of KwaZulu-Natal (capital: Pietermaritzburg).

Consul-General Magubane assumed her duties at the Consulate-General on 28 December 2010. She looks forward to enhancing co-operation between South Africa and these two States.
